# Quantitative track

**TL;DR:** a `QuantitativeTrack` shows a single BigWig or bedGraph signal. Scale
and color options (`scaleType`, `autoscale`, `defaultRendering`, `color`, etc.)
go in `displayDefaults`.

## Display options

Scale and color settings (`scaleType`, `autoscale`, `minScore`, `maxScore`,
`color`, `bicolorPivot`) are
[`LinearWiggleDisplay`](https://jbrowse.org/jb2/docs/config/linearwiggledisplay) slots, set through
`displayDefaults`.
[`defaultRendering`](https://jbrowse.org/jb2/docs/config/linearwiggledisplay/#slot-defaultrendering)
picks `xyplot`, `density`, `line` or `scatter`. The
[cookbook](https://jbrowse.org/jb2/docs/cookbook#quantitative-wiggle-tracks) has the single-color and
bicolor recipes.

## Adapters

`BigWigAdapter`, `BedGraphTabixAdapter` (bgzip plus tabix, for large data) and
`BedGraphAdapter` (a small plain `.bedGraph`) all take the `uri` shorthand;

lists them with their config pages.
